Crafted to benefit ACEing Autism tennis programs for individuals with autism. Ben was asked to create this base Imperial Stout recipe with our friend, TJ Creighton, from High Branch Brewing, to create the perfect canvas for fellow Charlotte brewers to add their own spin on this delicious stout for a great cause! We brewed our version using our proprietary blend of Glide coffee from Magnolia Coffee Co, luscious vanilla, as well as sticky maple syrup!

On tap at Goofy Foot Taproom into tulip glass. Pours dense opaque black color with a 1 finger dense tan head with great retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing on the glass, with light streaming carbonation. Aromas and flavors of big nutty medium roast coffee, vanilla, milk/dark chocolate, dark bread/crust, toast, wood, pepper, herbal, grass; light maple, molasses, dark fruit, smoke, char, yeast earthiness. Light to medium hop/char coffee bitterness on the finish. Light-medium carbonation. Very creamy, silky, bready full body. Some sticky hop and chalky roasted drying. No acrid/astringent flavors linger after the finish. Mild increasing warmth and booze of 12%. Smooth sipping. This is super similar to Founders breakfast stout with more alcohol. Advertised maple is barely there, but otherwise top tier coffee stout. Amazing all around, the coffee intensity is enormous.
