This imperial stout spent 18 quiet months in the comfortable darkness of freshly emptied Booker’s Bourbon barrels. This viscous, jet black beer is decadently complex with notes of roasted coffee, rich chocolate, oaky vanilla, and a warming bourbon heat. Drink fresh or allow this amazing beer to evolve.

Picked up a 2022 can from the Appalachian Vintner 1-23-23 for $11.99. Consumed 10-10-23.
Beer poured black with a nice brown head.
Nose is very nice, bourbon forward with a touch of coffee and vanilla.
Taste follows the nose as the huge malt base emits notes of coffee and chocolate. Barrel aging lends a nice touch of vanilla and bourbon which lends a perfect balancing solution.
Mouthfeel is medium bodied and smooth.
Overall a solid BA stout!
