16oz can (packaged 7/17/2024) into a tulip. Pours a crystal clear golden color with a sudsy 1-finger head, patchy lace.

Aroma is juicy and citrusy, perhaps a bit muted. Grapefruit, pine, hints of lemon. Pretty straightforward WCIPA aroma.

Taste leads off with a grainy, crackery malt quality. Then some citrusy, piney and bitter C-hops. Underlying malty sweetness holds it together.

Mouthfeel is light to medium bodied. Crisp finish. Drinkable.

Overall a decent West Coast IPA, nothing extraordinary but well made.

Clear bright amber with plenty of foam in the Brigand chalice. Aroma of citrus. Lively mouthfeel Flavors of orange peel and peach with a resiny finish. Some malty flavors and a slight sweetness. Clean taste with a distinct bitterness and grapefruit on the lips. From the 16 oz can with no date.

I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a straight-sided glass.

Appearance: light gold hue with a moderate haze and a nice lace left on the glass. Not bad.

Smell: earthy, dank hops with a little bit of sweetness. A solid take on the good ol' WCIPA.

Taste: much like the aroma, there's some earthy dankness with just a little resiny character and plenty of bitterness. I dig it.

Mouthfeel: medium body with an okay carbonation and creaminess.

Overall: this is a tasty beer, and a pretty faithful interpretation of the style, though perhaps with more dankness than in the old days. I think it's a solid beer, although based on other reviews here it seems like it's better on draft than packaged.

Pint can dated 02/13/20. Clear and golden with a thin head in my pint glass. Aroma is a bit sweet, fruity, but almost caramelly. Flavor is traditional American IPA but the flavors are pretty muted. Not nearly as fun as the Island Fir IPA I had from these folks.

A second pour to finish off the can yields a ton of sediment and the beer is now significantly more astringent than I'd remembered. Maybe this can was fouled up?

Bought a 16 oz can at Seattle Trader Joe's.
Date on can is 09/03/19 ---- but not sure what it refers to. Canned on or BB.. ?

Poured into a pint glass. Clear liquid, but with copious amount of protein floaties....pretty disgusting.
Waited until many of them settled into a sludge at the bottom.
Tasted bready, malty and sweet. Not very hoppy. More like a generic, homebrewed ale, complete with the gooey sediment.
Aftertaste is sticky-sweet.
Not a good beer.

16oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a cloudy pale orange color with just over 1/4 inch of white head that had low-moderate retention and low lace. Some floaties at the end of the pour.

Solid but subtle grain base gives the hop aromas a foundation. The hops were of the modern frooty type, and I couldn't really place the flavors.

The beer opened up a bit on the tongue, and there was a touch of citrus hops to go along with the light grain.

The body was fairly typical, medium-light, and had a semi-dry finish.

Drinkability was pretty good, I can see drinking a couple more, even though I didn't particularly care for the hops used.

Overall, a solidly enjoyable brew. Probably worth a shot if you see it.
