Pours a clear brownish amber with plenty of foam in the Brigand chalice. Light, sudsy mouthfeel. Interesting musty, woodsy aroma. Malty to start but not very sweet. Buttery, hints of hazelnut. Virtually no bitterness, but an herbal finish with a stemmy aftertaste. Quite drinkable and certainly less sweet than many in the category. The hop is Hallertau Mittelfrueh. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 10/08/21.

I had this beer on-tap at the brewery in a straight-sided glass.
Appearance: medium amber hue with a moderate haze and a thin layer of tan foam leaving a good lace on the glass.
Smell: nice smooth banana / clove aroma, perhaps even a bit of chocolate in the mix. Quite smooth - I like it.
Taste: malty with a decent wheat flavor and a bit of enriching toastiness. Banana/clove character is not bad. A perfectly cromulent dunkelweizen.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent level of carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: not a bad dunkelweizen at all, and I'm happy to see they even make one. Worth trying!
