Very dark brown with an amber edge. Plenty of foam in the big chalice. Rich and malty but distinctly not a Porter. Light sudsy body. Tangy with a touch of resiny hops and the Euro hop flavors. This is one of my favorite dark beers in a long time. It's more malty which warms up the dark roasted malt with a touch of caramel. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. San Juan, in its unlikely location, is definitely a brewer to try for a variety of less alcoholic brews with fewer hop overdoses. Dated 02/09/23.
