This is the second in our annual series of barrel aged beers fermented with wine grapes. This version is a blend of 5 barrels that refermented on whole Carménère wine grapes for around 3 months. The resulting beer has a beautiful purple color, a lovely barrel aroma, and drinks like a wonderful marriage of the grape and the selected beer.

Wine red in color. With almost a rust rim. Heavily tart. It's funky and has that typical wild ale barnyard, but it's almost like it's gone bad. It's too tart and has a weird musky edge to it. I normally would crush a 750ML bottle of a 6% beer that I liked and I did NOT finish this.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
