Had this on tap at either in de wilderman or t'Arendnest.
-pours semi cloudy dark brown in brewer's tulip.
-slightly sweet nose, not very strong
-tastes of spices and vegetables, very subtle. a little sweetness in there somewhere. Taste never really develops, almost like drinking a lager..
-despite the subdued players, its fairly drinkable. but with that said I wouldn't drink more than one.

A nice looking bottle with an attractive label. Best bokbier 2006 (in Holland) it says.
A clear, reddish brown beer a creamy head that leaves lacing on the glass.
Smell of warm alcohol, higher alcohols. The malt is strong and caramellic with some light wood notes. Together with the alcohol it smells kind of boozy.
Taste is not as alcoholic as the smell suspects. The higher alcohols are completely gone and the yeast leaves a light fruity taste. The emphasis is on the malt that is deep Munich malty with a strong caramel touch. Bitterness is low and there is some bitterness of the malt, but never sharp or astringent. There are some woody notes and a trace of some sort of tartness. This adds a nice depth. Body is medium sticky and sweet.
