This collaborative brew brings the crispness of a lager with the hazy charm of a New England IPA to create something super unique, yet wonderfully drinkable. It's bittered with Simcoe hops and double dry-hopped with African Queen hops for a touch of Zulu flair. The result is a beer that's not only delicious but boasts an aroma that's hard to match.

12oz pour in a nonic glass on tap at the brewery.
Appearance: Gold translucent/cloudy color. Thin white head with some sheets and strands of persistent lacing.
Smell: Fresh cut citrus - not getting much else.
Taste: Lots of citrus hops (lemon/grapefruit) up front, cracker/pilsner-like malt for balance, and a finish that is equal parts crisp like a IPL, and hoppy like an APA. There is a lot going on with the taste, but the lager is muted and APA flavors and style dominate more with this beer.
Mouthfeel: Good carbonation, sticky on the teeth, but drinks like an APA. If there is an aspect of lager with this beer, I’m not getting it with the mouthfeel.
Overall / Drinkability: While I liked this, I’m not getting the lager aspect of this beer. The hoppy part of the “I” in IPL, yes, but this drinks more like an APA. I found one was enough.
