A grist of extra pale, wheat, and oats have us a lean wort that was hopped in the whirlpool with Citra & Centennial. Dry-hopped with Citra, Centennial, Simcoe, & Idaho-7 for bright tangerine and grapefruit aromas with a subtle piney bitterness.

Copenhagen 12/2 2022. 44 cl can from Mikkeller web-shop. An old mill in a pine forest with smoke rising in the background.
Pours unclear golden yellow with a small white head. Settles as thin, flimsy patch of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a sweet odor of tropical fruit and lemonade. More subdued notes of citrus fruit. Peach, oranges and pineapple. Grapefruit and citrus. Whiff of pine needles.
Light carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, soft, smooth, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a medium strong sweetness followed by a slightly more moderate bitterness. Aftertaste is bitter. Lingers for a while.Finish is semi-dry.
Decent Pale Ale for the Gluten allergics.

A: Pours a crystal clear medium yellow in color with moderate amounts of active visible carbonation rising from the bottom of the glass and moderate pale golden yellow + straw yellow colored highlights. The beer has a two finger tall sudsy foamy bright white head that slowly reduces to a handful of small patches of thin film surrounded by a large patch of slightly mottled very thin film covering the remainder of the surface of the beer and a thin ring at the edges of the glass. Light to moderate amounts of lacing are observed.
S: Slightly stronger than moderate aromas of citrus/grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit zest + citrus/grapefruit pith + pine hops over the top of light to moderate aromas of biscuit + pale + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness.
T: Upfront there are light to moderate flavors of biscuit + pale + grainy malts with a light amount of grainy sweetness. That is followed by slightly heavier than moderate flavors of /grapefruit + citrus/grapefruit zest + citrus/grapefruit pith + pine hops which impart a light amount of soft bitterness which lingers along with light citrus hop flavors.
M: Light to medium bodied with moderate amounts of carbonation. Slightly crisp with a light amount of dryness in the finish.
O: Easy to drink with well hidden alcohol and a pleasantly slightly crisp + dry mouthfeel and none of the watery thinness that I sometimes find in gluten-free offerings. Very enjoyable hop profile with lots of citrus + pine flavors and aromas. Really well done and would never have known it was gluten-free if it was not stated on the can.
