Poles Apart is a solid West Coast IPA with extra pale, Vienna and dextrin malts for a clean and lean malt base. We used Citra and Columbus in the whirlpool for a citrusy and resinous layer to build on with the dry hop. More Citra and Columbus were used in the dry hop, backed up with Mosaic and a touch of Chinook for some added complexity. The resulting beer is full of citrus and tropical fruits married with piney resinous flavours and a lingering bitterness.

Pours a fairly clear light amber with fine head.
Smell is fruity with notes of citrus, peach, green tea and pine with some crackery hints.
Taste is fruity and crackery. Solid bitterness with notes of pie, grapefruit and peach with a lagerlike cleanliness.
Mouthfeel is medium, sticky and well carbonated.
Overall, a very nice IPA, with a Cold IPA vibe.
