It's a beautiful color, a deep gold verging into amber with a thick persistent cap of foamy white head. It's leaves big swathes of sticky lacing. The aroma is mild and clean, with light fruit and grains. The taste has a nice malty sweetness with a little earthy hops. The body is lighter, mostly smooth with a hint of carbonation.

On tap at Sehkraft in Arlingon. Poured into a small nonic glass.
A good looking beer but I thought it was more English IPA than English Bitter. Not enough malty backbone to balance the hops. A rather biting finish.

Served on-tap in a Shaker pint glass at Beer Run (Charlottesville, VA).
A: Medium-amber color with appropriately short, off-white, tightly bubbled head.
S: Biscuity, crackery malt-dominated aroma with light- and medium-caramel notes. Hop character is earthy, spicy, and herbal with lighter citrus orange notes.
T: TN has done a really great job with this beer, blending the biscuit, amber malt flavors with medium-dark crystal malt tones and herbal, light citrus hop character. Yeast character is mild but adds some more earthy accents. Session 42 is a delicious premium bitter, and it really hits the essence of session beers.
M: Mouthfeel is on target for style with light-medium body and low carbonation with a moderate level of dryness.
O: Session 42 is an excellent example of the premium bitter style with flavorful biscuit malt notes and earthy yeast and hops notes. Great work and we can always use more session brews in the English style.
