This was another beer given to me by a cousin late last year, as I hadn't had anything from Three Notch'd before. IPA's are a dime a dozen as this one was certainly enjoyable and easy to drink although it could have used a bit more flavor and had a stronger aroma for it to stand out above the crowded pack.

Copper in hue and topped off with a massive head of foam, the suds never fully settled down. Thick, well-defined rings of lacing remained as they easily covered a majority of my pint glass. Earthy hops, weed, dank forest, and pine were in the sudued nose as they were much more detectable on the palate. Soft and soapy, this was nicely balanced, there was a bit of resin underneath everything with some honey sweetness in the back. This went down easily since the carbonation was lively and none of the flavors were strong nor particularly dominant.

With just the right amount of alcohol, this was a beer that I could have cracked open again and again, had I been given more than one can. All that was missing was a date, although this held up well during it's time in my basement. Not a bad go-to IPA that made me wish I was back on the left coast again!

Three Notched “IPA” at Dulles International Airpot on draught pours golden yellow clear lush with white fading cap. Really good local IPA with balance malty base and sweet and hoppy bite.

Draft at R.F.D. Clear golden body with small fluffy head. Faint aroma becomes a little fuller in the taste. Closer to a NW APA, but still good, gentle bitterness and flavorful. Malts allowed to take a co-starring role here.

This is a relatively low ABV for a west coast IPA but don't let that fool you. The hoppiness hits you with the first sip. The beer also has some fruity notes and It has a nice white lacing that lasts a fair amount of time and pours a moderate amber. I really liked the taste. Easy to drink more than one.

12oz can, pilsner glass, enjoy by 9/4/22.

This puppy looks great; gold, light yeast haze, pillowy head with nice lacing.

Citrus rind aroma and flavor, slight soap

we sampled several local beers during a recent trip to the Blue Ridge mountains, this one was the winner - perfect balance of hops and malt, citrus overtones without going overboard, smooth, nice mouth feel, enough of a kick to know you shouldn't drink too many - just a great all around beer

Had this on draft at the ValleyFest Beer & Wine Festival 2021 at Massanutten Mountain on 9-18-21. Pretty solid offering and near sessionable. West Coast offering that had a citrus and stone fruit flavor.

Another of Three Notch'd that i had before but yet to write a review. Costco 24-pack sampler! Pours a pale apricot color with a nice foamy head. Not much on the nose. Some grassy notes and citrus but not much to speak of. The taste and feel are great tho. Incredibly balanced and i could easily drink a few more of these on this fine late spring evening. Would take this any day over Minute Man

Consumed from a glass while preparing some ribs to go on the smoker.

Pours with a huge head. Monstrous, gigantic, fluffy, ow my thumb hurts typing this I think I broke it yesterday whilst doing jiu jitsu. Actual beer looks a bit thin compared to the head.

Grapefruit and citrus hits in the nose. It’s a subtle yet pleasant aroma.

Citrus fruit hits up front in the taste, almost sweet, then gives way to a oily bitter finish. Simple but tasty.

Mouthfeel is highly carbonated but a bit on the thin side.

Overall it’s a legit IPA. I’m not going to keep it perpetually stocked in my fridge but I’ll buy it again.

Nearly clear with dirty gold color. Excellent lacing in the form of streaks and rings.

Semisweet smell of paler malts. Mild floral hop aroma.

Earthy hop flavor is the initial sip. Smooth start to the tasting with richer "round" body and soft pale malt. The carbonation is higher than expected and it enhances the biting hop finish. Long neutrally bitter aftertaste.

Pours a clear amber color with a white head. Medium carbonation. Strong citrus and pineapple on the nose, and not much in the way of hops. Taste is a good balance of tropical fruit, especially pineapple and with mild bitterness of resin from the hops. Solid brew.
