Bottle dated 11/7/18 (almost 6 months old) into pint glass. Pours a gorgeous reddish-amber with a light honey-colored head. Initial impression is predominantly caramel malts, with citrus hops (grapefruit, orange, and mango) becoming evident later. Mouthfeel is fairly thick and sticky; carbonation is perfect. Alcohol is kind of obvious, but not objectionable. Finish is sweet, fading to a resinous bitterness in the back of the throat.
I don't exactly know what to make of this one. It's too sweet and sticky to drink more than one, and the malt is so overwhelming that the impressive assortment of hops never really defines the taste.

Way to malty and syrupy sweet, leads to a muddled hop character and not dry or drinkable enough for the style. Agree with the reviewer that this beer fits imperial red ale far better than DIPA.

Crimson red, crystal clear, quiet brew with nice lacing.
Smells of pine, orange peel.
Caramel malt at the start, with some hints of tangerine, papaya, kiwi. Sugar cane sweetness makes it feel slightly unfinished. Sweetness lingers thru a smooth savory finish. This brew packs a punch, with citrus and some alcohol burn.
Carbonation is perfectly light, letting the full feel of the malt and hops take center stage.
Very enjoyable DIPA

Another impressive offering from Dave. The alcohol is prevalent, but very enjoyable
