This brew was designed specifically for the wife of Brewmaster Dave Warwick (10-12-2013 wedding). This Belgian Witbier is light, crisp, refreshing and finishes with a soft herbal flavor of Celestial Seasonings chamomile tea with orange peel and coriander. In 2016, we brewed this batch to be gluten reduced.

Big wet head that shows resiliance atop a light amber body. Nose has the fruit and coriander.
The texture is highly carbonated and helps keep the flavor together but this is lacking some of the dry and tart flavors that I look for in this style. The aftertaste is pleasant but nothing special.
Another new Virginia brewer for me. They are sprouting like mushrooms down there.

From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 03/27/19"
Appearance: The body is a pale straw color with a soft haze. The head is large, thick, and white with great retention and lacing.
Aroma: There is only the faintest aroma of clove present while deeply inhaling directly over the surface of the beer.
Taste: There is a light clove flavor to the beer and a touch of pepper.
Mouthfeel: The body is on the upper side of light. It is a smooth beer with a pleasant texture. There is a light bitterness to the beer.
Overall: The can claims that this is "a marriage of coriander, orange peel, chamomile, and fruity Belgian yeast esters." While there are some Belgian yeast characteristics, the beer greatly lacks the aforementioned flavors and aromas. I wouldn't drink it again and I wouldn't recommend it.

On tap:
Pours very hazy, with an orange hue to a classic pale white/golden body. The head is solid for a wheat beer, and the lacing is strong early.
Nose is as expected, a wheat malt base with a bit of orange from an added ingredient. There is the lightest banana note and a light floral nature to the nose.
A medium to just lighter than that heft, this witbier is not quite as soft as some, but has a certain "calmness" to it. In between lighter/watery and soft/fuller.
Flavor definitely has a wheat base, complete with a little dull banana near the end. In between is a light herbal/citrus accent, which sort of acts to turn the whole beer a bit earthy. A little coriander kicks in near the end.
Solid, a little different, approachable. Would be a good beer to offer someone who might like Blue Moon or the like and trying to expand their options. It's just different enough without being far off the regular path.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
