I got a bottle of this from the Hampton Inn in Downtown Roanoke. It poured a hazy red amber with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had sweet malt with bitter hop presence. The taste was a bit off center. Was slightly acidic yet malty and had a bitter presence throughout the drink. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall it's an ok beer.

Caramel and pine aroma, pours a reddish/amber with an off-white head. Mild caramel notes, fading to pine and earthy bitter notes. Slightly slick mouthfeel, full bodied. Not a bad Imperial Red Ale, but I was expecting a bit more hops.

Burnt orange color with minimal head and almost non-existent lacing. Aroma is very malty with a light citrus and hop on the nose. Taste reminds me a bit of the feel of a DFH 120 but with a little more bitterness and a bit less of the heavy malt. Orange peel is the dominant flavor I get with sweet malts on the back end. Finish is lots more citrus peel and sweet, bready malts.

Pours a slightly murky reddish brown with medium head and a little lace. Nose is a little duller than expected. Some malt and just a little earthy hops. Taste has too much residual sweetness for me. Medium bitter but just doesn't match the style. Overall, not bad, but not what I'm looking for in the style

Pours bright red with a modest rust head and wonderful lacing. Crystal clear.
Strong caramel malt scent. Some fruit - plum, apple. Also heavy sweet and toasty caramel malt upfront in the taste. Some breadiness, mild lighter fruit - cherry, currants. Boozy and big bitter finish.
So so smooth. A bit sugary, but welcomed bold flavors. Another good entry from a great brewer.
