Some would call it earthy, it really leans more towards musty. Not basement musty, more like conditioned crawl space musty. Not a great summer beer or session beer. Too bad, I wanted to like it. I want to like every beer that I spend money on. Won't dissuade me from buying different brews from this usually really good brewery.

Comes out of the can medium-dark gold with a solid finger of foamy off white head. Great retention leaves small soapy lacing. The aroma is mild, golden fruit and a hint of citrus. The taste is much the same but a little less robust. The body is lighter, but not watery, lightly carbonated and a slightly dry finish.

I happened to see this at Total Wine canned three days ago. I like most of the beer Three Notch'd brews so I bought a six pack. Poured from a can into an IPA glass. Almost a clear orange to yellow color. Though it does not say it is a session beer the ABV is just 4.34%. For a session beer it was quite tasty.
