Nothing says Summer like a big slice of watermelon enjoyed outside on a hot sunny day, so we put that feeling into a can. This German sour ale becomes a new American quencher with the addition of watermelon puree. The tart, salty sourness from kettle-souring with lactobacillus gives the beer a dry, crisp quality that is the perfect complement to the watermelon added after fermentation.

Pours a clear amber color with almost no head. Watermelon on the nose and taste. Well balanced sweetness to go with the tartness of lime and salt. Solid Gose!

A: The beer is relatively clear yellow in color and has a light amount of visible carbonation. It poured with a thin layer of white bubbles that consistently covered the surface.
S: Faint aromas of sourness and watermelons are present in the nose.
T: The taste has light flavors of watermelon without the associated sweetness, which is instead replaced by a bit of sourness and saltiness.
M: It feels light-bodied and a little smooth and tart on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is easy to drink and doesn't taste gimmicky. It has some refreshing properties and the taste grows on you the more you drink it.

Pours a clear golden color with a minimal white head that fizzes away almost instantly. Smells tart, a little wheat, and primarily Jolly Rancher watermelon. Taste is slightly tart, a little wheat ale flavor, but with an overarching Jolly Rancher watermelon flavor. Lightly body, fairly crisp, though the watermelon lingers a bit. Nice attempt, balance seems a little off, but certainly drinkable.
