Mushfoot is a roasty, bittersweet imperial stout.
On tap at the Harrisonburg brewery taproom
Pours with an opaque black body that is topped by a durable beige head that leaves some sticky lacing on the glass.
The aroma has an unfortunate but obvious vegetative note.
The flavor has only a little vegetative aspect, with toffee, dark bread and vanilla more dominant. Mild bitterness. Despite the brewery's claim, this is not particularly "intense", at least for style.
Medium-light carbonation and a smooth, full body.
