Appearance: On draft at their brewery in Scott's Addition. Clear copper color with minimal tan head but decent lacing.
Aroma: Nothing special on the. Nose. Spiced tea. Malt.
Taste: All flavors are mild, but not necessarily in a bad way. Apples, pie crust, apple pie spice, cinnamon. Carmelized apple sweetness. Harvest herbal tea. A drop of vanilla extract. Graham crackers.
Feel: Medium. Sticky. The cinnamon lingers. Really strong carbonation.
Overall: Cinnamon and related flavors have a way of really throwing off beer, but this is an exception. The brewer kept everything within manageable levels to avoid overpowering characteristics. Also, the complexity and layers of different flavors was pleasantly surprising. It's exactly what one should expect when ordering an amber named "apple crumb".
Pairing: Unfortunately I didn't have the chance to pair this. But I would bet good money it would go great with apple pie topped with whipped cream.

From the small can, it pours a crisp clear amber color with a nice white head that slowly reduces. The nose getssome apple, but primarily malt. The mouth follows with a slightly appley bitterness with notes of cinnamon. Interesting, but flavored brews are not my favorites.

L: Clear amber beer. Very little head.
S: I get some malt. But that's about it. Aroma is pretty light.
T: I definitely get apples. This is brighter than a standard Amber ale because of them. However, I don't really taste any cinnamon at all.
F: Refreshing. Light.
Overall: It's really just Amber ale + apples. Which is fine. But not at advertised. But fine beer over all.

From the bottom of the can: "CANNED 10/05/20 ENJOY 02/02/21"
Appearance: It has a slightly hazy amber-brown body with a thick and fluffy eggshell-tan head. The head had various spots making it look like a speckled egg actually. Decent retention and some lacing.
Aroma: The beer has an interesting fruity aroma which smells a bit like figs and brown sugar. It smells a lot like a Fig Newton. There is a pear aroma to the beer as well. The beer has this perfume character which is hard to pin down; it smells very floral.
Taste: The flavor closely matches the aroma. It has this potpourri-like flowery flavor. The aftertaste is pear and earthy hops.
Mouthfeel: It is medium-light bodied with a bit of texture to it.
Overall: It's an interesting beer. The label states that it is "brewed with cinnamon, vanilla and Virginia-grown apples." Oddly enough none of these really come through. It's probable that some of the floral character and pear-like character was from the apples. It does have a spiciness to it but it doesn't really taste like cinnamon, and the vanilla is also absent. All of this aside it is a very interesting beer. It doesn't taste like the apple crumb namesake but it's interesting enough to try. I don't think I'd buy it again but it was fun to try.

L: Had this on-tap at Growlers to Go - Short Pump, poured into a pint glass. Had an amber color and a mostly clear consistency. There was a half inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Good lacing.
S: A very nice aroma of apples, cinnamon, malt, hops, and a little caramel.
T: Tasted of a moderate amount of malt (present throughout), a good shot of cinnamon (very prevalent), light caramel notes, a tinge of hops, and a lot of apples. Yep, it really does taste like what it advertises. It's a delicate balance between the cinnamon and apples and the malt. It basically tastes like a dessert you might have around Thanksgiving. Tasty.
F: A decent amount of carbonation with a smooth finish. Medium-bodied.
O: A thoroughly enjoyable beer. Well worth a look.

Pours a dark red/amber color with a thick head about two fingers that fades into a lot of lacing and clings nicely to the glass. Smell is as advertised, apple pie with mostly apples, cinnamon, and a hint of malt. First taste is of a light malt/grain flavor reminiscent of a crumb crust, apples, and a little cinnamon. Lingering flavor of cinnamon apples. Medium light body, low carbonation. The beer is as advertised, it tastes like apple crumb. Easy to drink, certainly would be nice around the firepit on a fall evening.
