Served in a shaker pint at The Ridley.
Hazy golden hue with short cap of white foamy head with sparse lacing. Aroma and flavor are both solid, especially for a low-ABV hazy IPA with the usual suspects of pineapple, orange, and mango offset by a mild pale malt sweetness. Feel is also good but suffers a bit in this department due to the light nature. Still, Duke of the Clouds is a good session hazy IPA.

From the can, it pours a hazy amber color with a marvelous white to just off-white head that slowly reduces and leaves tons of lacing. The nose gets a citrusy fruit salad of scents, followed by the mouth getting a slightly watery citrus forward malty brew.

Recently visited three notch’d brewery in Charlottesville VA and have spent some time in western va where this beer is widely available. While this beer us marketed as a session ipa, it is very characteristic of a true New England hazy. Not to say that this isn’t a great tasting beer, which it is, it does lack some flavor as compared to a traditional New England. This is to be expected as it comes in at 5.1%. The appearance is quite hazy; not super pale but not overly dark for a hazy. Aroma isn’t too strong but pleasant nonetheless. Fantastic beer all around especially being that it is lower abv compared to many beers like it. This will be a go to beer as I am spending more time in western VA.
