No scottish ale afishiando here. But I used to drink three Three floyd scottish ale back in the day. Hearkening for a cask style ale I settleled for this at the local bar that has a bunch of taps. Carmel dominates, could use more body from carbonation. A great beer none the less.

12oz canned 11/16/22 (2 weeks ago) poured into a tulip pint glass at fridge temp 5.5% ABV. The beer pours opaque dark amber with light brown head. The head recedes to a thin ring and single layer of bubbles. The aroma is mild with bready & toffee notes. The taste is semisweet toasted malt with earthy, bready heft and minimal bitterness. The mouthfeel is thin to medium bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Overall, good.

12 ounce can, packaged on 10/01/19. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a nonic pint glass, the beer pours a brownish/amber color with a couple inch light tan head that stayed around a while. There's a decent amount of lacing. The brew smells like toasted malt, caramel, black tea and a bit of nuttiness. Taste is pretty much like the aroma but there's also some peat and dark fruity flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's a bit slick and kinda thin with a moderate amount of carbonation. It's an easy drinking brew, kinda wish there was more substance to this but it's not bad. Certainly worth a try if you come across some.

From the 12 oz can in a pint glass. This brew pours a lightly murky
orange tinged brown with a decent head of off white foam that
dissipates to a thick ring, thin clumping pool, and shows scant lacing.
Nose of toasted malts and subtle cherry notes. Flavors exceed the
thin nose with toasted malts and subtle cherry and peat notes amongst
honey and caramel malts with a subtle herbal hop. Decent mouth feel;
medium light body that is truly English in nature so calling it "watery"
is not all that appropriate but in this case a touch on the befitting side,
light carbonation, and a nice malt driven finish.
Overall, a decent brew that could use some tweaking.

Really nice beer; both my wife and I enjoyed it. Took an 'Owler' home (don't ask)
