16 ounce can, canned on 11/26/19. Thanks once again to Brutaltruth for this! Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around a while. There's a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like coffee, burnt/charred malt, bittersweet chocolate and a bit of vanilla. The brew tastes like coffee, burnt/charred malt, oats, cream, bittersweet chocolate and vanilla. I do think it's a little more bitter than sweet but I'm enjoying it. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit slick and creamy, and it's also easy to drink. Although that's not really a surprise since it is just 8%, in general I do prefer my imeprial stouts to have a little more kick to them. Still, it's certainly trying if you see a can or 2.

From the tall boy can in a snifter. This beefy beast pours a rich
blackish brown with dark tea highlights and a very nice head of
tan foam that settles to a thick ring, thin light layer, and sports
some very nice lacing. Nose of dark coffee, dark cocoa, vanilla,
cream, and subtle char. Flavors follow the nose with dark cocoa
and brown sugars over dark coffee and light vanilla and light
cream notes with a healthy dose of char giving a nice bitter
malt finish. Nice mouth feel; medium carbonation that is
prickly and lightly effervescent, lightly coating, full bodied,
and a malt and char driven finish.
What I have done is amend this review---the bitter hop flavor
with the second half of the can is almost past the point of
enjoyment with the style. The second half of the can looked
like bad chocolate milk----this one needs some re-working
to be certain.
