A: Pours a darker reddish/orange than expected. A dense tow finger white head forms with good retention and lace.
S: Big pine and resin up font with floral and grassy aromas. Seems to be a touch sweet, with some perceived bitterness lingering. Simple and enjoyable.
T: Like the nose this is pretty simple. Pine, resin, floral and bitter, even a touch woody. A bit of sweetness as well. I like it, but not a lot of depth.
M/O: A full body with good carbonation. With a semi sweet finish. For the alcohol this is easy enough to drink. Flavor wise, fairly simple and nothing is over the top. So I can see myself coming back to this when at the brewery.
A good DIPA, but not exactly great right now. In that west coast style. A little tweaking and I can see this being great. As is, just enjoyable at the brewery. Which is really all that matters. I will revisit when I can.
