On tap at Baileson. Pairs well with the brisket taco. Pours a dark honey brown. The malt is what you smell, but what I taste is the smokey goodness. Not quite a rauch beer, but the roastiness is reminiscent. A great change of pace from the sweeter brown beers I usually get.

Classic brown ale - I think more English than American. Wonderfully malty and earthy with a smooth comforting feel. I was happy to see them offering a brown ale on a hot Houston afternoon! My first beer at this brewery.

Had it at the brewery poured into a plastic cup because of the virus. Beautiful head and lacing anyway, deep brown color. Earthy, chocolate smell and taste. Definitely something to repeat.

A: Pours a dark brown, kind of murky and opaque. A one finger beige head forms, and recedes quickly. Light lace is left behind.
S: Toasted malts, chocolate, and bread in the nose. A very simple, but enjoyable malt character.
T: Like the nose, lots of malts. Toasted, chocolate, and bread. Lots of caramel sweetness and molasses. Just as this gets to be cloying, a nice earthy, woody bitterness comes into play from the Fuggle hops. Which balances this out and lingers just a bit. Again, very enjoyable.
M/O: A medium body with good carbonation. Just a touch muddled though, and a slick kind of sticky feel emerges. Easy to drink, something I will gladly get again.

Much more English than American. As the malt and the Fuggle hops work well together. Nice to see another Brown Ale around, and will be looking for this again on repeat visit.
