A: Pours a slightly hazy orange color, but the haze clears up after a minute. A one finger white head with good retention and lace.
S: Big, pungent, and dank hops. Resin like pine, orange peal. This is an appropriate and big aromatic Imperial IPA
T: Follows the nose, with pungent and dank hops up front. Resin, pine, orange peal again. Just enough malty sweetness in the background. Then, finishes with a great bitter bite. All around spot on and enjoyable for the style.
M/O: A full body with moderate carbonation. The resin and slightly sweeter malty character gives this just enough stickiness and chewiness to be enjoyable. Which all makes this something I can come back to very easily.
Well done all around. The hop character is big and pungent, with plenty of bitterness. Though that is never over done, and with just enough sweetness to help balance. One of the better Imperial IPA's I have had in Houston.
