The beer pours a very dark brown color and has a slow settling off-white head.
Smell is roasted and has some smokey notes. A nice burned smell that reminds of coffee and a little rubber (sulfur?). Maybe a little fruity yeast character.
Taste of roasted malts, coffee, a little smoke and liquorice. A hefty roast is maybe even a combination of black malt and roasted malt. This malt explosion is supported by a clean bitterness, which strikes after swallowing. There is little to none taste of the yeast. The body of the beer is not sweet, but it does not lack body. I feel that the beer is a nice example of an export stout.

A- nice dark dr pepper color with short stack of beige head
S - hoppy horse blanket rawhide smell. a bit of roasted malts similar to Kirin stout
T - sweet burnt chocolate initial flavors. Some cheap Slim-Jim middle meaty flavor. Some malty sweetness aftertaste is bitter roasted
M - not overly watery or fizzy. Very average
D- better than you would think will have again

I drank this beer at pretty much room temperature. Aroma was nice, smelled extra sugary and reminded me of cookies. Nice light brown chocolate head, very inviting. Taste was pleasant and represented nicely. I've tried the Echigo "Stout" in the can several times and actually prefer it to the "90 day" version. I was missing the delicious smokiness the canned version has. this still is a very enjoyable beer and not to be passed up if one gets the chance.

Perhaps, the same as Echigo Stout, I don't know. 0.33l bottle with saxophonist on the label.
Dark brown with moderate tan head. Aroma is weak, chocolate and nuts, so is the taste + roasted malt. Insignificant carbonation, smooth mouthfeel, rather pleasant but not outstanding beer.
