650ml bottle - thanks to my friend Chris, who went above and beyond in his post lifting heavy shit move day beer offerings. Oh, man, this brewery just had to go and use the smarmy 'we hope you enjoy drinking this...' trope in their label musings, didn't they?

This beer pours a hazy, medium apricot amber colour, with two fingers of puffy, finely foamy, and somewhat creamy dirty white head, which leaves a bit of streaky cirrus cloud pattern lace around the glass as things slowly sink away.

It smells of musty generic citrus flesh, bready and crackery caramel malt, some hard water flintiness, and further leafy, weedy, and floral green hop bitters. The taste is bready and doughy caramel malt, some juicy orange, white grapefruit, and lemon/lime citrus rind, a faint earthy yeast character, and more leafy, herbal, and floral verdant hoppiness.

The carbonation is fairly low-key in its innocuous frothiness, the body a decent middleweight, and generally smooth, with nothing really causing any concern here. It finishes off-dry, the lingering citrus essences keeping the home fires burning.

Overall - this is a fairly well-rendered version of the sub-style, with lots of the Citra hop's assets on full display. Worth checking out, I would imagine, if you get tired of wine tasting your way around the region.
