Poured into a weizen glass. Pours a very hazy, nearly opaque golden amber with a thin, fizzy head that dissipates immediately leaving slight lacing. Aroma of wheat, clove, light mango. Flavor is wheat, mango, clove and cardamom. Finishes with moderate lingering clove bitterness. Light to medium bodied with sharp, peppery, carbonation, almost over-carbonated. This pretty much delivers what it promises, a pleasant hefeweizen base with mango flavoring. The mango tastes like dried mango, which is actually the way I usually eat it. The spicing is very much in line with the Indian theme of this brewery. Although I've never had one, this is what I would expect spiced mango juice would taste like in India, but with a nice wheat beer base. The spicing lingers a bit more than expected, but fits the theme. The hazy look is reminiscent of the popular NE IPAs that are everywhere now, but this is a quite different hazy beer; looks nice and exotic. An interesting Indian inspired hefeweizen from a very small brewery. I like it and will try their other offerings.
