Skull Lake Imperial Espresso Stout, a seasonal fave; this year brewed with Espresso beans from our friends at Counterpart Coffee. Dark, roasted malts pair perfectly with the cocoa notes and rich texture of the organic beans. Best enjoyed after a day on the slopes or on a chilly night.

I was really looking forward to this imperial espresso stout, unfortunately it misses the mark. Not well balanced carbonation, a touch tart for what should be a rich and sweet libation. Nice to try but would not recommend.

A Frame Brewing 'Skull Lake' imperial espresso stout @ 9.3% , served from a cream waxed 650 ml bottle
A-pour is a dark cola brown from the bottle to a black in the glass with a medium tan head leaving a large spotty film along the tulip
S-espresso , not enough cocoa
T-imperial coffee stout , no sweetness , dry stout swallow
MF-ok carbonation , full bodied , warming
Ov-maybe some time in the cellar will help , ok beer
