A mildly hazy orange with a dense white head with good retention and lacing. The nose has a nice blend of tart raspberry and strawberry, fruity rhubarb and a light currant, jammy note from the Zinfandel juice. Nice balance. The base beer has a mild lactic tartness with a touch of sulfur that dissipates. This is clearly beer and not a modern fruit puree. The palate opens with a nice blend of lactic and yogurt tartness that blends seamlessly with the fruit acidity. The balance between the strawberry, raspberry and rhubarb is particularly delicate and well done. Drying, tart, bright on the finish with a black currant like Zinfandel note present. Quite excellent.
