2023 Canadian Brewing Awards Gold Winner (International Amber to Dark Lager category).
This style is a combination of the Czech styles tmavý ležák (11–12.9 °P) and tmavé speciální pivo (13–14.9 °P). Our version of this style is more traditional with lower hop bitterness than modern versions and has a sweeter balance.
Arctic Lake Dark Lager is a rich, dark and malty Czech-style lager with a moderate roast character and balanced hoppiness. Brewed with Czech Pilsner, Roasted and Toasted malts, Czech Saaz hops and soft water.

Single can from brewery in Squamish.
Pours a clear dark brown with a finger plus of dark tan/beige head.
Roasty malt on the nose, molasses bread, chocolate and a little bit of nuttiness.
Taste follows with bready and roasty malt, dark chocolate, again a bit of nuttiness and a touch of earthy bitterness on the finish.
Rich smooth medium mouthfeel with good carbonation and a lasting satisfying bittersweetness.
Superb.
