This place is primarily a wine and mead cellar, and the vibe in the tasting room is that of a wine tasting place. The location is rural. My wife and I stopped here just to try their beers, but she also ended up tasting a few meads and liked them. The brewing equipment was visible in a room behind the bar.
As is typical of tasting rooms, you order at the bar. There were 7 beers on tap, including one that was half/half beer/mead. (There were also 6 meads, 3 cider/cysers and one sparkling wine on tap.) We chose 5 sampler-sized beers for our evaluation. All were brewed well to its respective style, and we gave an overall score of a B-minus. None were especially notable, but we liked the Red Rhino Rye IPA the best. The Coconut Porter was also good, but only as a porter because we could not taste the coconut.
There is no food here although I made a note that they offer a 'build your own' charcuterie board. Other than that, come with a full belly. Beer is available to go in growlers, howlers and prowlers. Meads and wines are already bottled. If you are interested in wines, meads and beers, this is the place for you. It's an okay visit just for the beers.
