Poured from 12oz bottle into a clear cup. Best-by date is smeared.
Appearance: pale golden-yellow hue with a light dash of haze and a finger of frothy white foam atop.
Smell: mildly sweet, slightly wheaty malt aroma, with a decent complement of orange peel and spice. It comes off maybe a little dry and astringent, but not too bad overall.
Taste: flavor is wheatier and with more of a fruitiness than the aroma, and with a persistent orange peel bitterness. It could be smoothed off a bit, I think, but has all the hallmarks of a witbier.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: a perfectly serviceable beer. if you’re in the mood for a witbier, this punches the ticket just fine.
