Actually this is a review of Lake Haze # 3. Clearing out my Mom’s house in Hawley. Stopped on the way out of town. I’m kind of a beer snob. Son lives in Boston and skis. So I’ve had my share of Tree House, the Alchemist, and lately mostly some very good Trillium. My wife got me some Wallenpaupack IPA over the winter. A little too malty for my taste so I did not have any high expectations but my son and I were thirsty after cleaning the house. Didn’t know what to get but “Hazy # 3” caught my eye. OK let’s try that. “Dad, they only have it in cans not on draft”. I’m still going with it. Stamp on the can shows it was canned 2 days ago. (Kind of like my other fresh NE favorites). OK it tasted just like that - fresh with a nice balanced NEIPA flavor, in concert with the others that I prefer. Good enough that we bought some for Home. Today I was back and bought some for my son who lives in the Lehigh Valley and some more for myself. This will room with a case of assorted Alchemist from spring skiing, Singlecut, and The latest Foreign Object. Anyway it’s good and fresh and will be drunk preferentially. If you’re local and like NEIPA get some. Only $16/4.
