Clear, golden color, Nice, white head. Malt, hay, grass, and orange in the aroma. Clean, malty taste with moderate bitterness. A decent summer beer.

DATE: August 12, 2022... OCCASION: a summer Friday that couldn't be more beautiful--a lawn-watering, fire-pitting, and beer reviewing kind of evening... GLASSWARE: nondescript 22 oz. lager... this is an equal beauty: golden-yellow, translucent, effervescent, its head snow-white and three-fingered, staunchly holding to a half-finger that leaves a horizon of lace... orange rind, cracker, Tettnang, lemon drop, subtle woodiness, and some flowery esters--bright and welcoming... smooth, a bit creamy at the finish, with a pause of activity at the teeth... medium-bodied but drinkable as its ABV and style suggest... dry at the finish, welcoming the next sip with impunity... the orange peel is subdued in the profile, the lemon and apricot just as much... the cracker is more bready in the taste, buttery and soft, refreshing.... this is a nice example of how to tweak a style into nuance without making a scene--this helles makes me wish they had a straight-up helles as well! Picking Wallenpaupack up only when out at the lake house, I look forward to trying some new stuff next year...

No Wake Zone pours a copper color, but with no head. Grainy aroma. Flavors are also grainy and "cheap", but with a crisp finish. Crisp body, but very weak and watery. Overall, too weak, whiffs of cheap flavors, but not an offensive tasting beer.
