16oz tallboy can courtesy of JayO'Rear. Canned on March 4, 2021, per the stamp on the bottom of the can.
Poured into a can glass, this was a chill-hazed golden shade of amber. Decent sized off-white head. Modest lace.
Nose is of grainy malts, with just a tiny whiff of coffee.
Grainy malt flavor for the most part, like in the nose. Coffee flavor is initially pretty weak, and mainly in the finish. It increases as it warms, but this is much more of a Cream Ale than a coffee beer, that's for sure. There's a little bit of a mineral-like tang as well.
Medium bodied, basic ale mouthfeel that is really kinda nondescript.
The "nitro" effect was negligible. Perhaps I didn't pour it roughly enough. It's okay, a bit of a novelty, I suppose. Then again, I was under the mistaken notion that this was one of those "pale coffee stouts," and, therefore, of a higher abv than was actually the case, and it might be more flavorful when fresher. That was my bad, so, if I were to come across it again and it was fresher, I'd definitely give it another chance. It is, even now, still quite drinkable, just not that terribly interesting.

Pours a clear gold color, with a giant head. Aroma is cold press coffee. Flavor is cold press coffee with cream. Good body and feel. Overall great coffee beer
