NEPA Harvester from Wallenpaupack Brewing. 16 oz can purchased from Wallenpaupack Brewing, Hawley, PA (10/20/2021). $ 6.36 (including tax)/can ($0.398/oz). Stored at reefer in store and at 40 degrees after purchase. Reviewed 22/04/22. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Stamped on bottom of can “CANNED 09/02/21”. Served at 44.2 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 49.8 degrees.
Appearance – 4
First pour – Deep Gold (SRM 6), slight haze.
Body – Pale Amber (SRM 9), hazy. When rear-lite, same but with precipitate covering the inside of the glass.
Head – Average (Maximum 4.2 cm, aggressive center pour), wheat, low density, and average retention, diminishing to a 0.4 to 0.7 cm crown fed by moderate carbonation and a thin, rocky partial cap, leaving lacing on the inside of the glass as the head retracts
Lacing – Fair. Predominantly tiny bubbles forming bands which eventually open into torn curtain lacing.
Aroma – 3 – Weak. Hops impart a weak freshness over the malt, no yeast.
Flavor – 3 – Lightly bitter. The hops have weakened and slid into the background, contributing a hint of fresh bitterness while supporting the malt-forward flavor, no yeast. No ethanol (5.3 % ABV as marked on label) taste or aroma. No gastric warming occurs. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl.
Palate – 3.5 – Medium, thin and watery, soft but lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3.5 The whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Although this is seven months old, it’s still better than many fresh amber ales.

Thanks to Ozzylizard for this one, from his recent NBS BIF boxes. 16oz can (dated 9/2/21) poured into 14oz teku. Poured a clean, clear, dark reddish mahogany color with an inch of tan head that had good retention and lacing.
The aroma was lightly sweet malts topped with floral hops.
Pretty similar on the tongue, with the pleasant addition of some hop bite at the back end.
The body was medium-light, smooth, and had a semi-dry finish that dried out quickly.
Drinkability was good, a smooth and easy quaff.
Overall, a pretty nice take on the style. Most certainly worth a grab if you get the chance.

Had this on 2021-10-09 near Pittsburgh, PA from a 16oz canned on 2021-09-02
A - Clear amber with a 2-finger off-white head and very nice lace
S - Rich malt, strawberry, honey, floral.
T - Toasted brown bread with guava jelly. Earthy spice. Pleasantly bitter. Not overly dry on the finish, which suits this style well.
M - Medium body and carbonation. Good balance between smooth and crisp.
O - I liked this beer quite a bit.
