It's a party!, It's a party!, It's a party! It's a Talus and Nelson Sauvin party! Wallenpaupack host such a party and brings their beer garden ideas into the haze.
Pale and cloudy gold, Beer Garden Party releases a rich lather of foam and a ripe fruit scent of citrus, vinous fruit, herb and soft tropics. Honey-like once on the tongue, its malt sweetness is soft with dry cereal, shortcake and agave before the hops arrive. A striking hop flavor of pink grapefruit aligns with lemon, pear and kiwi for a unique tropical and fruity flavor backed with the bitterness of balsa, tea leaf, verbena and peppery pine; all wrapped in a juiciness of grape.
Medium bodied and evolving into a drier than usual finish for a crisp and drinkable finish to a juicier and fruitier session.

Wallenpaupack Brewing Co "Beer Garden Party"
$7.50/pint @ Broken Axe Brew House, Lock Haven, PA
Look: Cloudy golden body with a bit of a peach sheen. Limited head retention, or just a dirty bar glass? The lacing was good and I didn’t see any bubbles adhered to the glass or lipstick on the rim so I don’t think so.
Smell: Resinous, “dank”, and fruity with gooseberry, white grape, and nectarine.
Taste: The flavor follows the aroma. The hops used are Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin, and Talus. It finishes dry with the fruit quickly passing to leave bitterness and resins lingering.
Feel: Medium bodied on the fuller side, lightly zesty, and then smooth.
Overall: It's quite the charmer this one. The choice of hops works really well. The head retention was disappointing but it was otherwise quite nice.
