From the 16 oz can in a snifter thanks to Bluejacket74 for this one!
This interesting stout pours a dark brownish black with a moderate head
of khaki foam that settles to a thick ring, thin clumping layer, and shows
some light lacing with dark tea highlights. Nose of cinnamon, oak, dark
roasted malts, faint bourbon, and subtle coffee. Flavors surpass the nose
with cinnamon, rich woodsy oak, bourbon, rum, brown sugars, vanilla, mild
dark chocolate, and moderate coffee. Mouth feel is medium full leaning
towards full, smooth, slick, moderately coating, light carbonation, and a
medium dry finish dashed with dark roast.
Overall, this one is nice but the cinnamon threw me off which I am guessing
is from the rum barrel. That said it could almost pass as an imperial brown
or holiday spiced stout. Unique and nice.
Of note, some orange zest comes through with warmth.
Cheers

16 ounce can, vintage MMXXII, canned on 01/05/23. Served in a chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good enough. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like rum, bourbon, vanilla, caramel, burnt/charred malt and some coffee. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also some oak, cinnamon/spice and dark bready flavors noticeable too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick, easy to drink and has a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this brew, got better the longer I drank it. Certainly worth trying if you're able to!
