Poured from crowler into glass. No fill date information found.
Deep brown colored body, with mahogany brown backlit highlights. One finger light tan head settles back to partial cap and ring. Leaves behind some frothy pieces of lacing.
Clean aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Also expresses a sweet lactose smell.
Taste of roasted malts and coffee. Introduces a sour, dark fruit vibe. Mild bitterness.
Thinner mouth feel. Good carbonation.
Here is a porter with coffee, and some sweetness from lactose. Okay, but nothing really to recommend.
