February 3, 2018. I wanted to order the Monkey Business but they were out. The bartender offered a one-time specialty "hoppy ale.". It was on tap and literally had no name.
Light amber color with a haze. Small head which quickly settles to rim bubbles. Some minor streaks for lace.
The smell is mild with primarily a bittering hop.
The flavor starts with lightly toasted white bread. The bitterness takes over with a coffee overtone (later I found out the beer did have coffee in it, a "coffee IPA". Good body and below average carbonation. The finish lingers with a raw hop bitterness.
