This double IPA gives a subtle aroma that offers a tease of the taste to come. An overall taste that is complex, with a touch of alcohol, that lingers after the first sip. Drinks a bit like an English ale, though it is questionable how much a certain gorilla would enjoy it.

Darker dirty gold color. Mildly hazy. Small head which leaves a thick ring of lace. Streaks and spots thereafter.
Mild smell to the point of barely registering. Darker than pale malt. I didn't catch any hop.
Very much in the English style with a rich, caramel base that lingers throughout the tasting. The hop is single but present in a floral sort of way. Full bodied with a decent carbonation level. The finish becomes bitter creating a lengthy aftertaste.

Small glass pour. Looks very dark for a double ipa. Kind of like a scotch ale.
Not much smell. Faint hops but what you do get isn’t bad. A little boozy smell too.
Taste is a little bland. Not much going on other than some tropical fruit taste throughout.
Feel is disappointing and I think drags this down more. Tastes watered down.
Not great. A bit disappointing. Wouldn’t seek this out.
