I am trying this beer off the tapper at the brewery as part of a four sample flight. It poured a dark opaque with off white head that did not leave much lace. The scent had subtle malt and roast notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink. There was a subtle sweet roast malt base with hints of coffee presence. The mouthfeel was smooth in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a decent beer.

Had this on tap near Fenway. It was just okay. Overly carbonated, THIN feel but still tasty. It's a milk stout but not silky smooth like a good milk stout should be. If I had to choose again, I'd pick the double IPA.

Deep brown but light passes through the center of the glass. Minor beige head. Very little lacing on the glass.
Light berry and some cocoa to the nose. Mild.
Tastes more like a Porter with lots of semisweet chocolate. The body leans thin and the carbonation is quite high. If ever there was a refreshing stout, this is it. While the taste features darker malts, it's weaker flavored than most. Perhaps stout lite?
