Foamy midsized head. Lasting froth. Excellent blanket lacing. The color deep, darker copper. Light passes through the center. It appears clear.
The smell isn't very "brown" with more of a pale malt nose. Light hop and some yeast rounds out the aroma.
The taste is darker with semisweet start but it dries out completely. Almost astringent in the swallow. There's an overnote of dark chocolate I wasn't expecting. The hop bitterness dominates the aftertaste. Rich body for a Brown. Decent carbonation. In a word, complex.
