Bought and consumed in La Fortuna, Costa Rica. Poured from the 350mL bottle that looks like a 90s alternative album cover into a wine glass. The beer is a dark amber color with just a one finger off-white head. Smells heavily of pine and citrus peel - a classic west coast style smell. Taste is more balanced, with more bready malt but also an interesting fruitiness. Finishes bitter with hints of pine and citrus peel again. A bit thin feeling, but not too bad. A classic-feeling IPA, and a solid pick-up. Give it a shot.
