From the growler via the brewery in a snifter while enjoying the company of
friends Bluejacket74 and Laura! Cheers! This solid brew pours a dark and murky
blackish brown with a decent head of brown foam that settles to a thick ring, thin
clumping layer, and shows some light lacing. Nose of dark chocolate, banana, bourbon,
vanilla, cream, and earthy malts. Flavors hit the mark with a nice presentation of dark
chocolate, banana, brulee, bourbon, vanilla, cream, earthy malts, dark fruit notes of
blackberry and raspberry, and a touch of oak. Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth,
rich, coating, warming, and ending moderately dry.
Overall, a solid stout that is unique and delicious!
Odd....perhaps, but Mr. Jacket agreed----NICE!
Cheers!
