Visited Clock House brewing while in town for a concert.
Clock House brewing is a tap room that serves pub fare, and shares a kitchen with the attached Black Sheep Social Club, which has a full menu, bar, and wider beer selection.
We had a few beers in the brewery and some awesome duck fat fries, then walked over to the social club for an excellent dinner. Prime rib is the special on Friday nights and my wife had a pork chop. So this review is a combination of the two spots, because they are pretty much one and the same.
Vibe is really cool, lots of reminders that the entire place was submerged in 8 feet of water during the 2008 floods. Pretty amazing story and restoration by the owners, they managed to recreate all the charm of an old time establishment, but updated with modern touches.
In the tap room, they had 15 of their own beers on tap. On the restaurant side they have 24 taps, 5 of which are their own flagship beers, and then 19 others of mostly locals. One was Modelo, but the rest was craft. Appreciated the selection, and the staff was very knowledgeable about the different beers.
All of their beers are available in 5 ounce as well as full pours, and the staff encouraged us to sample before ordering which was really great. Most everything was excellent, but I didn’t care for their sours.
Service was great. Staff was well informed and very attentive. And very friendly.
Food was excellent, and super affordable.
Overall a wonderful spot for my first time in Iowa.

If I didn't live 50 miles from this place, I'd probably be here all the time. It's cozy, a little low-key, perfect vibe for my tastes. It wasn't extremely busy, especially for a Friday night. Service was great, and the food (I had their spicy pork belly tacos) was excellent. The tap list offered an impressive selection of their house-brewed beers encompassing a variety of styles. I'm planning to visit again on my next bar hop in Cedar Rapids and maybe work my way through some more of their tap list. I recommend you do the same.

Looks to be in downtown, close to the river. Shares the building with a full bar social club. Next to a parking ramp, plus street parking. Brewing equipment is in full view behind the angled bar. Other seating is at tables, both high and low. Swivel chairs. Larger outdoor tiered patio. Fifteen taps, with a good range of styles. Brick walls with windows, and a tiled floor. TVs showing sports. Friendly staff. Small, cozy spot, with the full bar down the common hallway.
