This place was listed as closed down on BA…maybe they closed during the pandemic…or for awhile to do renovations…? Anyway, now they seem to have three different locations in the area…I went to the Dyersville “west” location, as much for a meal as to taste the beer. Very nice and large (for a small town) space, food was fine — I had a chicken wrap — and the beer list looked solid, though a little pale ale heavy, which, I suppose, is what the market dictates. I didn’t try enough beers to have any confidence in my “quality” ranking, but…. I had a sour, though, and it was solid. Not a place I’d go out of my way to find, but a place I was happy and grateful to find on my way. Recommend.

Industrial area, just a few minutes from the Mississippi river. Nice large space, with an industrial and modern feel, high ceilings and brewing equipment in plain sight. Communal tables and high tops, compliment the U shaped bar.
Friendly staff.
Salads, burgers, sammies and they do BBQ on the weekends. I enjoyed a tasty west coast IPA and a greek salad.
Cans and bottles of their worthy brews to go.
Pleasant stop for a bite and a brew. Nice place with a group, your family or for a casual date.
Well worth a visit.

Good impression overall, solid beer and food. Vibe was ok, a huge space that gets pretty loud when crowded. The single public entrance is a long winding ramp, which is kind of annoying. We saw the side patio open and you couldn’t enter through there. It would suck to sit out on the patio and have to walk a half mile to use the restroom. The space was a former warehouse and everything is now bright and shiny, looks like a lot of money went into it. Exposed brick and a stage in back, some communal seating up front, tables around the bar to the right, past the brewery itself.
It took awhile to get drinks, but everything was fine once we did. Did a flight plus a couple bonus samples from the bartender, who gave good recommendations. Standout was Noblest Nectar a foudre-aged wild ale dry-hopped with Nelson Sauvin. There was a good variety overall, and thankfully not all trendy stuff. Their brown ale was brewed with maple syrup and aged in whiskey barrels, which was really good also.
Food came out pretty fast and was tasty. The hummus was served with a large plate of veggies and naan bread, some of the peppers were a little long in the tooth, but everything else was fresh. Pretzel bites were crispy and served with a tasty beer cheese.
Overall i’d return to try some different beers and the smoked meats next time, and would try sitting at the bar for faster service.

7 Hills is in a great location in Dubuque's Historic Millwork District. Within walking distance to other breweries, bars, restaurants. The building itself is an old warehouse. Super tall ceilings, exposed rafters, old reclaimed wood, concrete floor, industrial furniture type place. It has large communal tables as well as a big U-shaped bar and stage for live music. There's also bar type seating near the fermentation tanks which are behind large glass windows, so it is neat to be able to peek back into the brew house. They also have a covered patio outside for the warmer months as well as a lower patio that allows dogs!
The service here has always been top notch and the food has improved (as I believe they've changed their menu at least once?) since my first visit and is now very good. Some of the best burgers in town. They even do smoked meats and nightly & lunch specials.
They have 7 year-round beers, but always have seasonals and specialty beers on tap as well. I would say the beers are all very good to excellent. I've never had a bad beer here before. Even if you don't like beer (although if you don't like beer, you will probably never come across this review) they have a cocktail menu as well as a few wines, ginger beer and kombucha that they brew in house available. They've recently started bottling beer. I'm not sure if you can purchase those on site, but they do growler fills to go.
They also have live music quite often. I would say it is a very family oriented place, I've even seen a 1 year old's birthday party here! It is not a crazy place where people let their kids just run around and go wild though. It is a really relaxed atmosphere, can get loud when busy as it is a pretty large place, but generally pretty chill during the day. Great spot for lunch, dinner, or just to grab a few beers!

After a hard day of shopping in Galena, We found this place on the web. Great location in a new neighborhood in the old warehouse district in Dubuque. I had the beer soup with the seven monster IPA. Both were Great!

A good addition to downtown Dubuque as it continues to revitalize. This is only a few blocks from Jubeck's and right around the corner from the Backpocket Taproom, so it's in a nice location.
It's a large, open taproom with German style seating along with a larger U-shaped bar. There's a stage with live music most nights. If it's a louder band it can get hard to hear, but still a nice atmosphere.
As for beers, they are decent and have quite a variety of styles along with some one-offs which is nice for those who want to try something different each time they visit.

Wow much larger space than I was expecting, and it is lively too! Had dinner here, bar food with a some more flavor. Beer quality was good, good representation of styles, though leaned hoppy a tick. Service was friendly and quick. Was an accidental find that was a great surprise
