I visited Steam Donkey while visiting Aberdeen a couple of weeks ago. It’s a small space, with a 4-seat bar and just a few tables, plus 5-6 tables in an ourdoor seating area. The brewhouse is right there next to the taproom, which I always like to see, and there were a few TVs playing basketball. Definitely a lot of regulars in the place, as I was there on their 9th anniversary. The bartender was really nice and friendly!
They had 9 beers on tap when I was there, plus two house seltzers. Styles included their 4 core beers of Kölsch, WCIPA, NEIPA, and hefeweizen, and rotating beers inlucding Cascadian dark ale, pale ale, golden ale, a fruit sour, a Mosaic pale ale (their anniversary beer), plus can pours of an IPA and a bananas Foster rum-barrel aged stout. I had a beer there and got a mixed four-pack to go, and I gotta say, the beer isn’t my favorite. It seemed like a nice enough place to hang out, but I wouldn’t go there for the beer.
