Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a glossy light red to a dark burnt orange color. A bar pour's kind of slim white head slid immediately off.
The aroma had some nice dry hoppy fruity tones rolling over some dried sweet biscuit malt features.
The flavor mirrored the aroma fairly spot on. Aftertaste was that dried hoppy fruitiness, somewhat like apples.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Carbonation and ABV felt fine. Finish was semi-crisp with the biscuits and light apples.
Overall, odd DIPA to me, and really not one of their better beers.
